QUICK! I NEED MY GROCERIES!

I have quite possibly, the single worst shift of the year, and it happens to fall upon the first shift of the year.
Why would a supermarket need to be open at 8, anyway?
Does ANYBODY decide that they need their groceries at 8 in the morning on the first of january?
Personally, a midday start, or at least a 10:00 open would be much much more acceptable.

Also, today was the third time that i've been asked if, this sign:

means that the register is an express register.
...err, no? it means to run this way if in danger.

Favourite Songs of 2008

I thought I might write this up while Dad and I watch 'Shaun of the Dead' and while Jo and I chat on msn. Look! I'm Multi-Tasking!

& now for my faves:

Private Affair- The Virgins

I really want to not like The Virgins, as they're all pretty and they look like they'd be a bunch of douche bags, but their songs are so catchy. I listened to this song on repeat then sang:
but she's always avoided falling in love, yes its due to a life of a private affair

x1234789, while I was studying for my english exam. Then like when you listen to a song for too long, you get sick of it, and move on. Sad but true.

Another Day- Jamie Lidell

Jamie Lidell is coming to Melbourne on the 10th of January, and no one wants to accompany me. We may also have to ignore the fact that I am not of age... still.
And I tried making this song my ringtone, but motorola wouldnt allow it, so disappointing.

Gamma Ray- Beck

This song has a marvelous surfer/spy feel to it, and I like the video alot.
I think Beck, in general is an amazing person, beside the whole scientologist aspect of him.

Wild Strawberries- PNAU

SO GOOD! Jo and I like to exclaim:
I want to go and pick some of those, WILD strawberries

when in a good mood.
Also, Lombardi and I have made epic plans to go strawberry picking this summer, but we are going to soak ourselves in aerogaurd first.

Paris is Burning- LadyHawke

I was obsessively listening to this song and even had it as my alarm on my phone, to the extent where I know find Ladyhawke annoying. But at one point, it was a favourite song, so it must appear on the list.

Standing Next To Me- The Last of The Shadow Puppets

This song is beautiful, It's a little rip offy of the Beatles, but whatevs, It's still a lovely song.
But the video for this would have been really good, but the dancers kind of ruined it, they were unnecessary and boring (out of synch).

Galaxy of the Lost- Lightspeed Champion

Lightspeed Champion: a mix of Bob Evans and Patrick Wolf?
both are lovely, which makes a nice mix.
I still cant believe this guy was in Test Icicles, secretly, I think I like him solo better though.
It's such romantic music with i guess, romantic lyrics?
Guzzle down,
My neck will burn as we kiss
and I'm sick in your mouth.
I know you want more.
Well kiss my open wounds
and add some ice,
and choke on my sick vice.
Oh girl the lights are on.

The Coolest- Lupe Fiasco

I like the peace
& I like the war

This and the intro section appear in my daily phrases.
I cant wait for BDO, solely for Lupe.

Coca Cola- Little Red

My whole family likes Little Red because the drummer looks like my brother. At Meredith Music Festival, when we were waiting to see Little Red, everyone was like "THE DRUMMER IS AWESOME!" he was so jolly! Also, one of the singers was wearing a Cotton On jumper while the rest were in dapper suits. It was totes rawkstar.

enter

Enter Scores arrived today, I finally decided I wanted to get my score through text, and lucky I did, according to all the "WHY CANT I GET MY ENTER!!!" status' on facebook.
It all turned out alot better in the end actually, I'm pretty happy.
I even got over the prerequisite of 35 in english. So RMIT can go screw themselves.

But now there's the big problem, of preference changes: I obviously won't get into my top preference, but do I want to do business/japanese at Swinburne or arts in Melbourne?
So, so, so, difficult! Swinburne would be much more practical, but Melbourne would be more interesting.
Life is so hard.

oh, and I'm scared that I'm reading the text wrong and I've gotten the wrong score.

RMIT

well, that sucks.
