Australian Open: Day One

Ive just came back from Perth, then went to the tennis the next day, so I'm buggered, therefore, this will be a picture post.

It was disgustingly hot, i've never felt like ive been sick from heat, but today I was on the verge of passing out or something though...

Went up with Andrea and Anita for the first day because Stef is in QLD and Jo is working.

Anita and I watched Ginepri vs Berdych while Andrea saw Ivanovic. It all seemed easy breezy for Berdych, except there was a horrible lines woman who was constantly being overruled.

Berdych Brigade/Army were back, and theyve added to their cheers this time, instead of the same "thats the way uhuh uhuh we like it" like theyve chanted for the past few years.

Dancing Optus Penguins: They were kind of hilarious. The one holding the stereo was the best, while everyone else was doing some hardcore break dancing, he just did a crappy interpretation of the robot.

Gilles Simon

Marat Safin: hitting with Igor Andreev, Andreev remained ignored.

Anita and Andrea spotted Fernando Verdasco and followed him to Lopez's match. I got a text saying "we followed verdasco, his watching lopez haha" then "and tipsarevic and some other plater are standing infront of us too, ur missing out lol".
So i ran on over, then said "YOU FOLLOWED VERDASCO? AHAHA!!!", Tipsarevic turned around and chuckled. Oops.

Then went to see Jeremy Chardy vs Marcos Daniel on court 14, which I think, is the most furthest away court from anything or anywhere. It was extremely hot, and there was a girl wearing moccassin boots and gold leggings. Anita and I were in shock and her choice of clothes. Seriously, did she not know that summer in Australia is very very very hot?

Hurrah! It's that time of the year again!
Well, anyway, It turned out to be Chardy's girlfriend, which was a little disappointing, because he is sososos pretty!

Then watched Marin Cilic vs Kevin Anderson. Anita is an avid Cilic fan, but Andrea and I were just looking for "good match play", which was not found in the form of Kev.

It was getting into the afternoon by then, so we just wandered around, saw Verdasco again, Tsonga, Tursunov, Bolelli, Safarova and Nalbandian. Also saw Maria Kirilenko, she was losing and her dress was disappointing. So she lost in all situations.

Decided to leave at around 6:30 to travel to Fed Square to get the 'Special Edition' of the Herald Sun, to find out uni offers.
Anita and Andrea both got what they wanted, I have my Swinburne Business and Japanese! We were filmed by some guy, so somewhere, me giving Anita a pissweak hi-5 is on tv.
