Sad fact is that I can spend plenty of hours on youtube just watching trailers, and they arent limited to 'coming soon' films either, they include films ive already seen.
Firstly, stating the obvious.
I have this on my iPod, probably the best preview of the year. But im going to be in Japan when it comes out, argh! Spike Jonze <3
I'll start with 'Nine' by Rob Marshall, The guy who directed Memoirs of a Geisha and Chicago.
Youtube wont let me embed, so click click.
The trailer doesnt tell me much, except that its going to be epic, and pretty, and starring... Fergie.
'An Education'
Peter Sarsgaard and Doc Ock! Everthing looks pretty and like Sofia Coppola's dior advert. I tried to explain the story to a friend, and she was like "that sounds like crap, Emi". Whatever, I'm still seeing it.
And, uh, is Rosamund Pike not one of the most beautiful people ever?
The Brothers Bloom
I saw the first few minutes of this somwhere, and it was really cutesy and adorable. and I have a bit of a crush on Mark Ruffalo.
Dorian Gray
mainly because a. Colin Firth, and b. when I was reading this, I thought 'if they made this into a film, I can imagine Prince Caspian as Dorian', depite the fact that he doesnt have blonde hair and blue eyes. Then I decided to see if there was a film version, and found out that Ben Barnes was going to play him. I AM SO GOOD!
Fantastic Mr Fox
furry talking animals. and jason schwartzman, even though his last film I saw was a complete crap house. I will say that he was probably the most redeeming factor of Funny People. And I have more faith in Wes Anderson.
And films I am not looking forward to based on their trailers:
New York, I Love You: I liked that most comments are like "I LOVE THIS SONG!" or "COOL! PHOENIX!" because thats exactly the same thing I thought.
Alice in Wonderland: I'll probably end up seeing it, but it seems a bit 'meh' to me. I can do without it.
