Domestic Godesses

Yesterday, i rented out 'Waitress' from Civic, beause now they have $1 weeklies on wednesdays!
Anyway, 'waitress' was pretty good, but the pies were amazing! It put me in a cooking mood, which never ever happens. So i googled some recipes, and looked at the pies from the movies, but they looked hard, and they looked as if they would make me lardy. Therefore, i refrained, and went for good ol' apple pie.
Then called up Edwina and walked to the safeway and bought recipes and a 99c cupcake (sososos good).
While cooking up a storm, we listened to some Adele and peeled, kneeded, and baked.

the final product:

Also, does Jeremy Sisto always plays jerk characters? And in Clueless, he kind of looked attractive, but in Waitress, he looks exactly the same except chubbies, hairier and maybe a little crosseyed. Therefore, unattractive.

oh, and the recipe used:

I accidently kept rubbing the dough until it became actual dough, instead of until it became like bread crumbs, so i dont know, maybe my patry was a bit too floury or something because i kept adding more to make it stop being so sticky. And I put the syrupy bits from the apple into the pie, so my pie came out probably a little to wet...

SMAP!

The other day, mum was playing a new Cd she got as a present from one of her friends, and it was this guy playing slow mellowed out cover songs of all these various japanese musicians. And on the Cd, there was a cover of 'sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana', and it reminded me of Japan.
In Japan, our group got split into two, and my group had to fill in the blank spots to 'sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana', and then we had to sing along, while the other class learnt how to say: sososososoososososososoos (which is like: yeahyeahyeahyeayeayeayeayeah)
Then like, at after the GAT, our japanese class went to karaoke, and Alex and I sang along to this song, and we were having fun and being all heartfelt and meaningful, while everyone else was like 'whaaaaaaat? enough now, lets sing some christina aguilera'.

aaah, memories!

yeah, get excited, shan.

Stephen K Amos: Find the Funny!

Yesterday, I went to see Stephen K Amos at the comedy theatre with Chiara.

Yesterday was one of the worst days ever. I felt dead in the morning, so I decided to skip out on my marketing tute which was at 9am, then I finally had to go in at lunch for japanese, then decided to only go to half of my marketing lecture. Well, apparently, because ive missed 2 marketing tutes, I now cant miss anymore? or I fail. apparently.

After that, everything got better. Met up with Chiara and we ate pho at the "Bill Clinton had 2 bowls, how many can you eat?" place, the place that has the picture of Jackie Chan taken behind a pot plant. The food was lovely and the place looked pretty gross like usual. Then the waiter paid us out. Chiara kepts ordering everything the same as me, and when we both ordered coke, he went all testy on us and said "no suprises there!"

We got to the Comedy Theatre pretty early, and we were pretty close. THE USHER WAS AWESOME! he had a bit of flair when leading persons to their seats. like some fancy hand movements and his head up high, and hips swaying as he walked. Then he said "WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR SHOES? I LURRRRRRRRRRRRVE THEM!!!!!!!!!" and waved his torch at my feet. the man obviously has excellent taste.

Stephen K Amos was ace, he came on dancing to single ladies. People kept shouting out of the crowd and he was like "this is the best show ever!"
Except when there was the lady in the crowd who made horn noises, then she went up on stage. That went for a bit too long than it was necessary, it was a bit "okay now, get off, im not paying to see you".

Oh, and today Mum and I went out for dinner after uni (i had to watch The Fly, i've never felt more sick after viewing a film), and we walked past the big black chalk board that lists the comedians, and this boy stopped me, and we had a conversation like this:
boy: who are you looking to see?
emi: im just looking
boy: can i please talk to you about my show? you're going to have heaps of people surrounding you anyway.
emi: aah, okay.
boy: i have a show at 6:00 today, im the youngest comedian at the festival-
emi: i think i heard you on the radio yesterday.
boy: on the triple j morning show? yeah, sam simmons is a wacko.

then i said i'd think about it. His name was Jack Druce. Shows are $16. Im considering going with Chiara.
